The department additionally provides a highly trained 1st Responder emergency medical service throughout our primary response area. Members are required to be licensed by the State of Wisconsin at the State Certified, Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (EMT-B) level. Several members are licensed to the State Certified, Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate (EMT-I) and Paramedic (EMT-P) levels.
In April 2018, Plover began operating a new Portage County Paramedic Ambulance that is staffed 24/7, 365 days a year. The Village of Plover has an ISO rating of 3.
